3 MONTH BIKINI CHALLENGE

Bring it on! We are announcing our very first Bikini Challenge! This will be a 3 month challenge taking place between March 1 and May 18! Yes, we know it's not exactly 3 months, but we're cutting it short for a reason. This challenge is going to be completely different from our previous contests. There will be NO buy in. There will be NO food or workout tracking/journals. This is just you, hard work, and eating right! Contestants will simply need to provide a before photo of themselves. Men - in shorts, no shirt. Ladies - shorts and sports bra or your current bathing suit. We are going to have winners from each class, so if you take more than one class, you can choose which class you want to compete in/against! At the end of the challenge, you will need to submit an after picture! Voting will take place between May 21-23, and winners will be announced Friday, May 25 - perfect timing for Memorial Day Weekend! The winners from each class will not be chosen by your instructors, but by your peers! So be sure to work hard, eat smart, and maybe you'll be the winner of the gift card for your class time!

Training will focus on not only running, but also training for the oh-so popular Challenge Runs, Mud Runs Á Obstable Course runs that many of you have already signed up for or expressed interest in. So while you will be running, you will also be thrown exercises throughout your runs! Coach Mackenzie will also be using tried and tested methods of increasing speed and mileage in runners as well as applying brutal body weight and conditioning exercises to help train you for the obstables and challenges you will run into. You can train with many different run groups in and around Charlotte but I promise you, nobody will be offering training like this!

We have picked several events that many of you have said you wanted to compete in over the next running season. The events will become more difficult as the season progresses, culminating in training for the Thunder Road HALF Marathon. We also plan on having a promotional team representing PRIDE Conditioning at the events listed and we will have SPECIAL OPS TEAM shirts for all of our people competing at the event! Imagine how great it will be to train with a group and then compete with that group, having the support of your coach and your group at the event, showing all of Charlotte that the training here at PRIDE Conditioning works, gets results and prepares anyone from beginner to amateur athlete to compete in these events! We are very excited about this and we hope you are too!

Doug's WKC Certifications

Owner and head instructor, Doug Seamans, recently completed a World Kettlebell Club (WKC) Certification to become a certified Combat Athlete Specialist! The seminar, testing and certification Doug completed teaches instructors how to use kettlebells as a major training tool for MMA, Muay Thai, Boxing, BJJ Grapplers, Wrestlers and other combat fighters! Doug learned how to use specific kettlebell movements and combined with proper workout timing to take fighters strength, power, explosiveness, grip and conditioning to a whole new level. This certification also taught participating trainers how to program different timing methods to get the absolute biggest benefit in the smallest amount of time as well as how to program timed sets, complexes and chains of movements properly for combat athletes.

Doug Seamans (World Kettlebell Club Combat Athlete Specialist)

The WKC Combat Athlete Specialist certification seminar was held in Duluth, GA by Scott Shetler of Extreme Conditioning and Fitness.

Doug is currently writing an entire program and working on completing a DVD for combat athlete training using kettlebells and the methods learned in the WKC certification which will be for sale in the near future.

Doug has also recently been certified through the WKC as a Kettlebell "Fitness Trainer". To gain this certification, Doug had to complete a full day of technique honing and perfection, and had to demonstrate his ability to execute and instruct the proper techniques used in Kettlebell lifting. Doug is now certified to teach Kettlebells using the WKC "Elite Fitness Protocol" strength and conditioning training program designed by the World Kettlebell Club to produce superior strength and endurance athletes. Certification was done by Cyrus Peterson of Advanced Training Concepts in Charlotte, NC.
